How To Give

Gift donations to the UHSA Foundation, regardless of size, make a positive impact.  Most gifts to the foundation are tax-deductible (EIN: 36-3532034) and will be acknowledged with an official donation receipt for your tax purposes.  When making your gift to the UHSA Foundation, you have the flexibility of designating how that gift will be used.

Check or money order gifts should be made payable to the “UHSA Foundation.” When mailing your gift, please include a note specifying the designation of your gift. For security reasons please do not mail cash.

Please send your gift to:

Gifts in Kind

A gift of personal property includes equipment, inventory, books, works of art, or other tangible property. Gifts of personal property are accepted by the UHSA Foundation.

Securities (stocks, bonds, mutual funds)

Giving appreciated stocks, bonds, mutual funds and other securities can provide immediate assistance to the UHSA Foundation and you. You may also receive tax benefits from this method of giving. These gifts require special planning and should involve consultation with your financial advisor.

Please contact us if you have questions about donating securities.

Real estate

Donated homes, land, and other types of real estate can help the UHSA Foundation reach its goals. An outright gift or a remainder interest results in valuable income and estate tax deductions.

Matching Gifts

Employers often sponsor matching gift programs by doubling any charitable contributions made by their employees. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. Occasionally, companies will even match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
